My husband, Todd, and I have loved dogs, among other creatures, all of our lives. We currently share our lives with champion show Danes, one old Rottweiler, a very cool cat, 4 ducks, and a lot of fish. We are members of the Great Dane Club of America and Mississippi State Kennel Club, we also are chair of several committees for the Christmas Classic Cluster Dog Shows in Jackson, Mississippi, we also participate in local dog events like Responsible Dog Ownership events in the area.
Great Danes are like no other breed that we have ever had. They are loving, gentle, and at times pretty silly. We do not have Danes because they are a novelty; we have them because we love them. Each one owns a special part of our heart, and always will. We are not a large kennel that houses many dogs who have their own staff (how nice would a staff be?). We are a family who loves our dogs. They all live in our home and are part of our family. It is the only way that we can really enjoy their individual personalities.
All of our Great Danes have graduated from obedience classes and some with “Top Dog” honors, we also have CGC (Canine Good Citizenship) and TDI (Therapy Dog International) titles. As you can see from the pictures on the following pages, we not only show our dogs in the conformation ring, we also do a lot of fun activities with them.
We strive to develop true specimens of the breed. We aim to produce dogs that gracefully combine the Great Dane’s naturally gentle temperament, personality, and intelligence, and we choose dogs with a predisposition for longevity. . . not to mention BEAUTIFUL!
